Kylie Power
Background
Kylie graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington in 2006 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After graduation, she continued to work at the university as the research lab coordinator under Dr. John E. Bates, running two longitudinal child social development studies. Currently, Kylie is a student in the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago, and plans to graduate in June 2008. After which, she is exploring a number of opportunities to use her psychology/sociology background in the business world!
Research Interests
During her time in the Visser Lab, Kylie plans to work on a number of different projects centered on the study of attitudes and persuasion. Although, she plans to focus the majority of her work on a line of research currently being conducted by Asia Eaton, which examines the relationship between gender priming and susceptibility to persuasion.
Beyond the Lab
Outside of the lab, she enjoys being active, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends. Kylie is also a devoted Indiana University Basketball fan and always finds time to cheer on the Hoosiers!
