Aaron Ball

Background

Aaron received his BA in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) in 2011. While at IWU he worked as a research assistant in Dr. Jason Themanson's lab. Aaron completed his honors thesis on the cognitive consequences of ostracism and their neural correlates. Aaron is currently a first year doctoral student in integrative neuroscience with Dr. John Cacioppo.

Research Interests

Aaron is interested in the impact of social rejection on the individual's cognitive capabilities, and ways in which such consequences may be avoided or mitigated. Aaron is currently working with Dr. John Cacioppo to examine that potential use as interpersonal synchrony as a treatment for social rejection.
