Rachel Fisher


Background



Rachel is a doctoral student in the Joint Program in Social Psychology and Organizational Behavior in the Business School. A graduate of The Ohio State University, she received her B.S. and research distinction in Psychology in 2009. Rachel's honors thesis, under the supervision of Dr. Kentaro Fujita, focused on construal level's impact on self-control in the context of romantic relationship commitment. She spent the year before graduate school as a lab manager for Dr. Fujita. She is currently investigating self-control and the pursuit of multiple goals within the labs of Professors Ayelet Fishbach and Wilhelm Hofmann. Her most recent project, in collaboration with Professor Hofmann, explores the effect of balancing goals on overall well-being.
