Dominic Gibson

Background

Dominic graduated from Wesleyan University in 2010 with high honors in Psychology. While at Wesleyan, he worked with Dr. Anna Shusterman and completed an honors thesis on the early stages of children's acquisition of number words. After graduating, Dominic worked in Dr. Lisa Feigenson and Dr. Justin Haberda's lab at Johns Hopkins, studying spatial working memory.

Research Interests

Dominic is interested in numerical and spatial cognition, language acquisition, and the role of language in acquiring new concepts. He is currently studying how children learn about numbers and geometry and how research on word-learning can weigh in on these issues.
