Katherine earned her PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Toronto, and went on to do a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan.  She joined the University of Chicago as a lecturer in 2017.  Her research has focused on understanding the neuropsychological mechanisms of negative outcomes following traumatic brain injury – the idea being that if one understands what goes wrong after a brain injury, we will be better equipped to intervene with targeted and more effective rehabilitative intervention.  Katherine is also interested in studying alternative, non-pharmacological interventions for Major Depressive Disorder.
