Doctoral student in Integrative Neuroscience

Background

Rui is a doctoral student and Institute of Mind and Biology fellow working with Leslie Kay. She graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in 2015 with a B.S. in Psychobiology and a minor in Philosophy.

Research Interests

Rui develops behavioral studies to examine the effects of context associations and olfactory routes (i.e. orthonasal and retronasal) on olfactory learning. She is interested in using electrophysiological recordings in the olfactory system to explore the underlying neural representations of olfactory hedonics.
