Fan Yang joined the Psychology Department in 2020 as a Research Assistant Professor, and she directs the Human Nature and Potentials Lab (https://voices.uchicago.edu/potentialslab). Fan's research program focuses on our capacities to devote to things larger than the self, in relation to fundamental questions in life such as happiness and meaning.
