Career Development
UChicagoGrad's Career Development team offers a large number of resources to help graduate students explore a variety of career options. Graduate students are encouraged to meet with advisers to explore careers, review job materials, prepare for interviews, and connect with alumni. The Career Development team hosts more than 100 programs dedicated to the exploration and successful pursuit of careers in academia, industry, nonprofits, and government.
UChicagoGrad also provides a wealth of career resources and guides. On this page you can find resources for writing resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, presenting at conferences, and using social media.
Internships and Experiential Learning opportunities offered through UChicago GRAD are another great resource for our graduate students. These internships complement academic training while providing students with professional experience in diverse sectors to give them an edge on the job market.
For students considering careers outside of academia, myCHOICE is an excellent online resource to help graduate students and PhDs prepare for and excel in non-academic careers.
